Yes the NSP is the ram board that holds your machining programs. You can add wire to this circuit board and place the new battery down in the bottom of the operators console.

More than likely just the drive went bad. Have you tried to swap with another axis and see if the original axis work with the other drive. I have a guy who can repair the drive and he probably has...

ballbar is really not necessary for adjusting the servos,unless you are trying to do very close work or find a problem when interpolating a circle.

There are screens that show you the servo lag...
