If you open it in inches and scale it by 25.4, it will be right on. It is a strat type neck so scale length should be 25.5 in. Distance from nut to where 22nd fret would be is 18.36 in.

A strat type neck is only about 25 inches long plus whatever tabs you are going to add. Why don't you just put the piece on the diagonal of your machine since you have approx 29 inches...
