Make It Happen!!!!
Does anyone know anything about this new product and how much it costs?
I see now. This will help me a lot in tracking things down. Thanks a lot, I appreciate it! Nothing worse than flairing in the wind with no direction!!! :)
Thanks for the advice! The turning on the debugging looks like a good start and way to go. But forgive my ignorance, but I don't know how to turn it on for those results. Could you please explain...
I run version 8.1 of Mastercam at work and have at times made modifications to some of the port processors we use there for various reasons. I find that I treasure hunt thru it, make a change , and...
I've found that mine runs consistantly without missing steps at about 30 ipm. More than that and I some times run in to problems.
The link doesn't take me there?

These sites have long up to 4 inch in the1/4".
I have the hobbycnc 125 oz. package on my home made done and it works well but I only get about 12ipm on my machine. It's made with rollerbearings and gas pipe.
Excuse my ignorance on plastic but is plexiglass and acrylic the same?
beautiful work!! I'm impressed! You said you're using mach 2 to run your machine. I'm curious what software you are using to make the program with? Is it meshcam, deskart, imagecarve? I'll have...
VERY NICE! Is that .011 deep or .110 deep? And what software did you use?
Actually that's Natalie Portman ( Princess in Attack of the clones)! I got the picture on line 1 day and thought it'd make a great cutout. But the real picture does here more justice. I know what...
I think you'll like it! It's a well built machine and accurate. Doug says the owner is coming out with some windows based software for it, so you might check up on that.
plexiglass! It cut ok but I think sandblastings the way to go for that. Can you guess what movie star it is? I put some stain on it for contrast.
Thanks, maybe I'll check it out! I'm only going to go about .015 to.020 deep. Probably only enought to break the ceramic coating, I think. Experimenting, you know make 3 or 4 pieces of trash and...
Very nice pictures!!!! And I like all the different ways you can do it! I'm trying out cutting a image in plexiglass at the moment to see how it comes out and I'm thinking about trying to carve...
Thanks, I'll have to give that a try!
Does anyone have any experience with doing etching in glass and how to do it? diamond bit? speeds and feeds? Wife wants.......
INteresting thought! I might try cutting a image in a piece of plexiglass to see the outcome if I can figure out what would look good cut there.
All the pictures are cut going 1 directionup and down against the grain. I do use wood conditioner on the wood pryer to staining. It helps some, depending on the wood. If there's fussyness I...
The accuracy seems to be very good on the machine. I haven't put a indicator on it to check seeing as its hasn't presented itself as a problem and as you can see from the pictures it's well worth...
I'm using imagecarve! It works really well! I've been hurrying around cutting things to get it all right. Made a couple from old pictures for presents! This one is the best I've done now. I'm...
After you've drawn it in cad, you use the cam software to toolpath it and convert it in to g- code (machine language). Then you use the software like Mach1 to co-ordinate it with the hardware on the...
Thanks! That's hard Maple! It's only going about .02 deep. It takes some fooling around to get it to come out right and I need to work on the finish some more, but the photos come out real good...
I'm sorry to hear about the controller! It shouldn't be too hard to change! Murphy's law once again! Yours came in 1 piece, mine busted up, but you still have to fix yours!!!! What software are...
Yea , we have more information here about the machine than on their site! They don't seem to be to web literate. They know they need to but I think the owner is just too busy. The machines are...
I don't know about the size if they're different or not. I don't know how to check that. Is your z axis losing steps?
They say shinano Kenshi.co. sst58d5810 1.8 deg step. I imagine they're the same size as yours, just a different brand. BUt I don't know how to tell the size of them by the numbers. Thanks,...
