    Sysda 1.1 is firmware/hardware, so it's not available unless you buy the "box" from Bosch Rexroth.

    If you are going RS232 you need a suitably wired RS232 cable, and DriveTop, which IIRC is a free...

    Unfortunately the job did not come off, the customer kicked us into touch after we had done all the ground work, and before placing the actual order!

    I've never used a pilot with those sort of screws and use them a LOT, but, never in CNC machines, always in hand held drill/drivers.

    Could be that the switches which initiate these faults are all in series and the Z axis switch has failed in the operated position after the Z axis hit it?
