My CNC conversion website has finally found a permanent home at:
http://cnc.novalab.org
All the files from before are still there, and as the time goes on, I will be adding even more content,...
Hi ya'll,
In order to assist you with determining if your setup is missing steps, I posted two test files that I use. I assembled those from few routines, including the roadrunner, that are likely...
Hi,
I had been assisting Art in testing this new enhancement over past couple of days. I promised to document this mod. Here are some relevant notes that pertain to stepper motor setups in...
Hi Ken,
Regarding the threading: I do not specifically mention it, but if you go to the "electronics" page you will see the index board, with some comments. The only purpose of this board is to do...
Hi Bruce,
Thanks for the heads up. I looked and found "\" on couple of pages. I corrected this, and I hope that all will be well now.
If you don't mind trying again too see if it is OK now....
Ken,
Threading is already done: both lathe (note the index board on the spindle - that is for TPR) and the mill. The flange I used for the ball-screw conversion was thread-milled by the Smithy...
Ken,
I think you are absolutely right on this. What bruce was seing is a character %5, which is a "\". This is what I erroneously had before, and have fixed since.
Mort browsers are by default...

Jeff,
Which page is having problems? I need to trouble-shoot it.

Hi,
Due to extremely high traffic, I had to move my web page to:
http://users.adelphia.net/~kchris/mach_files.htm
I added the bunch of pages showing details of my conversion to CNC.

Ritsel,
It is a diameter, which is the usual way of specifying edgefinders. My screen has an embedded computation and does the rest.
Chris
Those are diameters. To run metric, just switch to metric mode manually, or your g code will do it for you.
I am glad you like it.
Chris
Hi yall,
I finally finished testing it. Enjoy it, and let me know how it works for you.
NOTES:
======
1. Output is in the RADIUS mode, to follow MACH3 wizards convention;
2. Axis polarity is...
Hi Ritsel,
I do not see why not. I even kept the DROs the same high resolution as the original screen. If you do run into an issue, let me know, and I will fix it.
Regards,
Chris
For those who need a quick way to do this I posted my implementation.
