MARATHON SR 518
With 18 pallets à 500 x 500 mm, 700 mm pitch circle and 470 kg transfer weight, the MARATHON SR518 multi-pallet storage system is designed for handling large, heavy individual parts as repeat parts or small to medium series. Together with the powerful 5-axis ACURA 85 machining center, the optional 50 kW spindle and a 344-cavity STANDBY tool magazine, the result is a perfectly coordinated team for maximum productivity. From the 360° rotatable storage/retrieval station, the operator has a view of the machine's work area at all times. The work area remains fully accessible from the front for process control and the running-in of new workpieces.

For individual parts or small to medium series, do you want to restart the follow-up job with zero downtime? With a 5-axis machining center of the ACURA series, the MARATHON PL406 as fixture storage and the standby magazine as large tool storage, this becomes reality. As with the MARATHON SR422, the consistent operating concept of the ACURA MARATHON with Heidenhain TNC – on the machine and on the tool terminal of the standby magazine is convincing. For easy operation, the pallet magazine has keys for rotating the pallet carrier and for acknowledging blanks. The job list is created on the Heidenhain controller in the Batch Process Manager.
