    Slowing Down my A-axis

    Okay gurus,

I need to run my A-axis at a much slower rotation speed. My ez-cam is spitting out an F460.824 speed for A-axis while I'm running xy @3 ipm and z at @.1 imp. As it seems I cannot control the A-speed in the cam software.

If I change the radius, higher-i get a higher speed of 600. If I place .0001 or leave it at zero in my settings, I cannot get it under 460.824.

Whats' the best way to lower my rotational speed? I seem to want mach3 to overwrite the A speed.

I don't really want to lower using the FRO as this will lower the xyz accordingly.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

It has to be a CAM setting. the only thing you can really do in Mach3 is lower the A axis velocity to give it a maximum, but that's not really a good option.

Try inverse time , if ez-cam has it

I came across the velocity setting in mach3 and lowered the velocity to 400 from 600. I was skeptical whether this changed the amount of rotation but a quick test in air does not change the amount of rotation. I went from 0 to 90 okay. The FRO shows 464 and actual speed at 400 which is the speed I put in mach3. I might need to lower it more say 200 as I use lowered sized bits.

I will test cutting something quick to verify.

Why would it not be good to change this setting?

I can't figure out what is controlling my A speed in the cam software. There is no box for me to enter speed other than xy and z. I'm using the indexing command to cut circumferential grooves that go from 0 to 120 degrees.

I'll check on that but it does not sound familiar in ez-cam.
