Rotating 4-Component Dynamometer for Measuring Forces and Torque in Machining Processes on Rotating Tools
The complete measuring system consists of a sensor-integrated tool holder (Rotating Cutting Force Dynamometer), which can be mounted directly onto the machine spindle, and a wireless receiver that receives data via radio transmission from the tool holder. The spindle interface of the machine tool determines the rotor design, which is interchangeable. The same applies to the tool adapters.
Built into the tool holder are the piezoelectric 4-component sensor, four charge amplifiers, and the digital transmission electronics. The system measures the radial forces Fx and Fy, the axial force Fz, and the torque Mz.
