MODIG Automation introduces an advanced solution to extend the reach and flexibility of your 6-axis robots: the 7th Axis Track Motion System. This innovative system can be easily integrated with both the robot and controller, enabling the use of two robots for additional operations or even adding a second machine to the same automation setup.

The Power of the 7th Axis

The 7th Axis is built on a sturdy welded and milled metal frame, featuring a high-precision linear guide with eight carrier blocks to ensure superior motion stability. The transmission is driven by a helix-angle rack-and-pinion paired with a planetary gearbox, providing high efficiency while minimizing energy consumption.

  • Protected Design: Both the linear guides and transmission are shielded by durable side and top covers, ensuring long-lasting performance.
  • Modular Flexibility: The 7th Axis starts with a 13.1 ft (4 meters) long module and can be expanded with 6.5 ft (2 meters) or 13.1 ft (4 meters) extension modules. The system can be scaled up to a maximum length of 131 ft (40 meters).

The MODIG Track Motion Axes are designed to handle robots weighing up to 1,764 lbs (800 kg), with typical handling weights ranging from 22-154 lbs (10-70 kg).
