The Montronix force sensors of the RetroBoltSG-Mxx series are uniaxial strain gauge force transducers that are available in different designs. By integrating a preamplifier, RetroBoltSG-Mxx sensors offer high sensitivity and a low-impedance, practically drift-free signal output. The RetroBoltSG-Mxx is mounted as a package under screws in connection with stable washers and measures the expansion of the screw heads. This stretching is caused by the cutting forces (compression and tensile forces) of the machining process. The RetroBoltSG-Mxx thus offers real force monitoring without having to make any changes to the machine.

It is particularly suitable for detecting collisions, missing tools and broken tools. The RetroBoltSG-Mxx force sensors are ideal for industrial monitoring applications due to their small design, single-screw attachment and robust construction.


The Montronix force sensors of the RetroBolt-Mxx-ICA series are piezoelectric force transducers that are available in different designs. A RetroBolt-Mxx-ICA is a single-axis sensor characterized by high sensitivity and low drift. By integrating the charge amplifier (ICA = integrated charge amplifier), it offers a low-impedance signal output.

The RetroBolt-Mxx-ICA is mounted in combination with stable washers as a package under screws and measures their elongation. This stretching is caused by the cutting forces (compression and tensile forces) during a machining process. The RetroBolt-Mxx-ICA thus offers real force monitoring without having to make any changes to the machine.
