About SBI
What started with 3 employees is now an international company with 100 employees.
In March 1999, Ferdinand Stempfer founded the company SBI Produktion techn. Anlagen GmbH & Co KG with the aim to bring new and more efficient thickness control systems for plastic film production to the market.
Just one year later, the first system was successfully sold to a large Austrian company, marking the start of a constantly growing business unit.
In 2000, the original idea of using technologies for rapid prototyping in mold construction for plastic injection molding machines, formerly called additive manufacturing, was turned into the second and now stronger pillar of SBI – plasma welding technology.
Meanwhile, the product range includes both series devices and individual special solutions for various high-tech applications, which are delivered worldwide. The main focus continues to be on the fact that the entire know-how, namely all engineering services, come from one source – SBI.
