Options and special information

SCHUNK ROTA TP self-contained power chucks are equipped with an integrated pneumatic cylinder. The power transmission is carried out via the proven wedge hook system. The chuck contains an air supply system on the distributor ring. Therefore no rotary feed-throughs are necessary.

Particularly on machines without hydraulic clamping cylinders, the ROTA TP and the manual lathe chucks can be easily exchanged.

SCHUNK’s ROTA TB2 pneumatic power chuck sets a new standard in machining of rods and pipes for the oil industry as well as the mining and construction sectors. Despite the compact outer dimensions, for example, the ROTA TB2 has an extremely large through-hole of up to 560 mm.

With air pressure of 6 bar it is already possible to achieve very high clamping forces of up to 280 kN, which can easily be adapted to the particular task. An anti-corrosive coating applied to the most important functional components of the SCHUNK ROTA TB2 significantly increases the service life.

The pneumatic power chucks ROTA TPS are particularly designed for stationary use. Particularly if there are no hydraulic systems, they are suitable as an adequate replacement due to the integrated pneumatic cylinder. The power chuck ROTA TPS can be adapted quickly and easily to any machine table by using a console plate.
