Zero Point Clamping Systems are high precision quick-change fixtures used in manufacturing to rapidly secure workpieces or tooling plates onto machine tables. They consist of two main parts: a base module (with precision-located locking pins) mounted on the machine, and a receiver module attached to the fixture or pallet.
By simply positioning the fixture onto the base and activating the clamping mechanism (often pneumatically or hydraulically), the system locks securely in seconds with high repeatability and accuracy. This eliminates the need for manual repositioning or realignment.
The key benefit is drastically reduced setup time between production cycles, improving efficiency in CNC machining, CMM inspection, or welding. It ensures perfect positional repeatability, enhances flexibility, and is ideal for high-mix or low-volume production where fast changeovers are critical.
