That's what she said. Here's my latest original design. It's a simple mov file so it can easily be reverse engineered if you wish.

That's a nice model bostosh. Did you use rhino? If you want to hone your modeling skills definitely check this guy out.

MC verX and after has a GUI pst file editor. I don't have that. The pst must be edited manually like a txt file. Does anybody have an old mcV8 or older pst file for a WinCNC atx? MC ver7 or even ver6...
Here's one of my recent original designs.
Does anyone have an old V8 mastercam pst file for wincnc?
Cambam beta. The free version.
Use it to open your dxf then save it as a dxf. It will put an extra dxf extension on your original file by default. That's all there is to it. Open and save, and...
Mine is a gantry 3 model 130 with servos. It's the largest table from that line. About 4sq ft.
Question.
The original g code interface for stepper that you have doesn't have a continuous motion...
Thanks Eric.
I did notice that they are the same chips but only had a few different numbers on them which probably just indicate a different date of manufacture.
Do you know why the white jumper...
That's a spindexer in there? I thought those things didn't have bearings. The reason I ask is I was considering using one for my own 4th axis build and they're usually only about $50.
Alex
Here's the pictures.
I'm getting ready to test the new card now just to see if it functions ok. Obviously I won't be pulling any chips yet. I still need a power cable to run a test on the 4th motor....
Just got this controller card in the hopes of replacing one of the chips to activate 4th axis capability.
I found some differences however.
1)The axis chips have different numbers on my old...
What are these files for?

When in Germany there's Isel, and in Österiech there's Emco.
Just saying.

Spindexer with tailstock from tormach.
About $100. They allow up to 1 degree increments.
Spin indexer.
Deadly kitten,
My machine has a Porter Cable router on it. There's no reverse. So to do threads on my machine I have to:
1) Use a thread mill
2) Use a fourth axis
My project is to fabricate a...
Thanks Jim,
I kinda thought it would look something like that.
I usually don't program code longhand, so I'm just learning at this. I'm trying to understand the code. So assuming that the tap is in...
I want to use a fourth axis for rigid tapping. To be more specific, rigid tapping defined as synchronized turning of the fourth axis and linear motion of the Y axis, which will have a tool holder...
This has to be the right spot to talk about gcode programming. Planning a 4th axis build with servo.
I'd like to program the 4th as if it were a spindle to rigid tap. I'll probably be laying it...
Give these guys a try. They specialize in retrofitting Hardinge lathes.
Dynamic Machine
Today was a milestone day and I just figured I'd mark it.
After much testing, I successfully cut pine at varying feeds from about 20ipm to 100ipm with an 1/8" two flute endmill. I ran a pocketing...
I've been researching these small mills for quite some time now and I want to put a package together that will easily slice through small stainless steel parts about 2x4x1" and do it continuously and...
The thing is Greg,
When you preprocess, it tells you that file has been preprocessed for such and such a speed. Therefore someone with limited capacity (such as myself) simply assumed that the act...
Listened to that interview yesterday Briggs.
The acorn has landed!
+!
Tossing up the terrible towel there!
Just gotta do it.
Alex
Hi Steve and welcome,
Centroid makes excellent controllers and I'm certain can convert your Bridgeport. They're in the middle of PA. Definitely check out the acorn. You can use pretty much...
Maybe try a macro?
PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
Hey dart70ca,
I finally figured out how to fix this annoying problem and I'd like to share it with the world of Isel Techno users who still use the old ISA cards.
Feed rate...
This looks to me like a guitar designed specifically for changing pickups quickly. Is it for Seymour Duncan? No doubt, if you run this you should include a few extra pickguards where the pickups are...
Bostosh,
I would totally love to go to NAMM. Is it in NYC at Javits this year? What's the price for a ticket, not for vendors just to look around?
If you'd like one of those out of wood I'll need...
This was done on the computer, freehand so to speak. It's a stl of the verified machined part mc allows to be saved.
You mentioned that you scanned your part. How'd you do that? The only way I can...
There's lots of options in routers. Noise is optional. Zee height is optional. Size, dust collection systems, and 4phase voltage is optional. Servos, software, and salespeople are optional.
