Not the easiest but it works

Correct on the "Crownies". Crown Lager is a brand of premium beer, and a much favoured brew. Not to be confused with VB ( Victoria Bitter ) which is more likely to be consumed by the "Ockers" at the footy or cricket.

Most people would "crack a fat" over a nice nubile nymphet ( Sheila ).

Carvinmarvins machine was cactus. Excitech machines are " Bloody Rippers", or bonza, or bewdy mate.

    Hope this helps.

The Crownies are just the first of the brew racked off the fermenter- the VB is the dregs.. Don't get me started on piss- I brew mine from scratch.. Have a fondness for lagers and the taps in the fridge make it hard for the bride to work out how many I have had (only one dirty glass). Down in tassie rocket you should be getting on the Cascade's- tassie water is the most pure on the planet.

'Crack a fat' may be applied in more general usage to suggest you are excited about something.

Nice try Larry, I needed a, good laugh.

Angry What is it with sheilas

Stone the flamin crows mate! A man flies hours away from home in order to suck piss and have a flutter and what happens - The missus says i have to go sightseeing with her. Crikey mate, i have some serious gambling to do. She wants to go up to the top of Mt Wellington - Bloody hell woman - Just look out the damned window, you can`t miss it!
Anyway i was getting the evil eye so i relented and took her up there in the jigger. Fair dinkum mate, what a bloody nightmare. The road must have been built by the convicts. Very narrow, very winding and very steep. Pickle me grandma, all the wankers in their 4 wheel drives were up there and you need to be as mad as a cut snake to go up there. The ******** were taking up all the road in their Toorak tractors. I was fair sh...ing myself all the way.
So we get to the top and get out to have a look around and it was blowing a gale. I pretty well froze my nuts off. No chance of cracking a fat up there mate. She took a couple of happy snaps and then we got the hell out of there. Bugger that for a joke. Went back to the casino to thaw out.

Today she is going to Salamanca markets and i told her to go on her bloody own. Means i can get an early start at the tables and make my daily contribution.

I have a confession to make Jimmy. I have been drinking VB. Must be my Victorian upbringing.
Gotta get out of here soon, it is costing a damn fortune.

G'luck Rocket on the pokies.Beware of the bushranger,or as we say one armed bandit.
Is a Sheila a cook? Are toorack tractors a Feral?" Feral : V8 ute (q.v.) sporting large heavy bullbar, numerous aerials, large truck mudflaps and stickers almost all over the rear window and tailgate. Sometimes seen with a Mack emblem on the bonnet and always with large (multiple) driving lights"
I don't understand how you Mates get a beer.A handle,a tallie,a longneck,Amiddy,a pot,a throw down, etc.Any you Mates Mexicans or banana benders?I am Fascinated with the aussie slang.Got any terminology referring to CNC

Larry - Sheila = Female- any.

Toorak Tractor = 4 wheel drive. Owned by urbanites and will probably never do any 4 wheel driving. Mostly seen at school drop offs and suburban shopping centres. Driven by housewives.

    Banana Bender = Queenslander.

    Pokie machines = Robbers!

Beer handling = Stubby or Longneck - bottles.
Glass of beer - Pint, middy, schooner.

Not really a lot of Aussie slang is used anymore. This is probably because we watch so much TV and movies from USA.

Make sure to spend lots of time on the ecabinets website as you will have much to learn. I have been using it since version 1.1.

It can do some nice things, but IMO it is too cumbersome to use in a business like mine. For what you do it should work out very well. Once you get a box drawn you can run 1000 without a hiccup.

    ATC controller

In my search for a good and affordable CNC machine for cabinet making I was lucky enough to find this forum, which has given me a load of information on Excitech machines. Hands on experience from users who are willing to share their experience with others is a must in case one has to deal with suppliers who are too far away to visit, and I am very happy that all of you are sharing so much information thru this forum. Thanks!

I would like to purchase a 1530 machine with an automatic tool changer, because we think we will be able to earn back the extra cost that is involved. And this is were I start to worry.

The Excitech machines have two controller possibilities. There is a choice between DSP and Syntec. The DSP does not support the ATC. The Syntec does support the ATC. But it is a fully Chinese controller on which almost no information seems to be available for english speaking customers. The Japanese servo's and servo-drivers, the Italian spindle, the German VAC-motor are easy to purchase or service in Europe (the Netherlands in my case), and I do not see any problem with these.

The Syntec controler however is the only part that seems not to be serviceable, except via Excitech. If I would like to change the post-processor, it can only be done via Excitech, and they seem to be fully dependent on Syntec who consider their Operating System and pps-files to be fully proprietary and secret.

Cam-Wood, one of the USA importers of the machine, does not use the Syntec controller and also did - as far as I know - not succeed in composing a fully working ATC. They do have their own software solution, but one has to ATC manually.

My question is, did any one succeed in making a servo-equiped Excitech work with ATC by means of another solution (e.g. DeskCNC, Mach3, USBCNC) ? Or does any one has a clue on how to tackle this?

    Looking forward to your opinions.

I am looking forward to any info about this as I too would like a 1530 with ATC. I am very interested in using Mach3 or a similar machine software to run the router instead of the supplied software. Worst case though it would mean using gecko drives and a machine re-wire IMHO.

FWIW Carvin Marvin has PM'd me saying he has purchased one of the ebay routers and that he is really pleased with it, he also mentions that he knows many others who have them also, I smell a rat here, I would not be surprised if he is the ebay seller trying to make himself look good.

    The ebay router is

Buyer Beware and I wouldn't take Carvin Marvin too seriously.
