    V24 scaling

All I am doing is opening a DXF file that was originally scaled 1:2. it opens but all of the dimensions have been scaled down in half... i have hundreds of these files that need work and i dont have time to manually re-scale and re-dimension each drawing. isnt there a option not to scale dxf's somewhere?

You are working with files that are scaled 1: 2?

Yes- 1:2 is what the original DXF was scaled by whomever drew it. I know there are ways to make it the way I need to see it but i really need to do as little as possible due to time constraints. is there a setting i am missing somewhere?

Unless I am mistaken, the dxf is not really scaled. The dimensions the original author put on there are scaled.

The best thing I can think of is to select each dimension, right click, "Entity Modify" and set the scale to 2.0. When you hit OK, the text of the dimension will be over-ridden.

Yes, it will be one at a time.

There might be a quicker way but I don't know if it will "fix" the file permanently. It might only update the dimensions temporarily so you can print it off. Do you have a file you could share? It may save you a ton of time.

Can you attached a sample DXF file?

What I am thinking is the part is scaled 1 : 2, so in other words it's not drawn to scale 1 : 1. So if you open this file you will have to scale it to size in order to use the geometry to program with.

You are asking is there a way to auto scale up or down drawing you work with?
