quick and easy couplers dust collecting

    hi all,
was playing in the shop today , got some sewer and drain pipe to start piping in my permenanet ( -5 sp) pipe for my dust collection system.
anyways i needed a connector between the 4" s&d pipe and my 4" hose.
i found that a folgers small coffee can ( the plastic ones that have the specialty coffee in them), fit perfectly. just cut off the bottm and screw it into the hose then stuff the other end in the pipe. good enuf for a temp fix anyways , till i get back to lowes for the connectors.
    just thought i'd share...

lol, cant keep coffee in the can, for some reason, it keeps runnin out.
will get some pic's up tonight when i get home. I'm really excited about having a dust collection system PIPED to the whole shop, no more dragging around a big hose.
will still keep a section thou for my floor vacuum.

What did you use for around the spindle? I want to make a dust collection boot but not sure where to find the stuff to go around the boot. I would like to use the hairy type stuff but I've seen some plastic type strips?
