Friends! We have a DMU 200 with Heidenhain MillPlus IT control system. While working it undergo a power shut down. After restoration of power it did not get ready and an error message is displayed (H227: ENDAT Position outside range). Anyone in the forum to please help us regarding this problem. Thanks:

Probably some of the axes is in some abnormal position, it may be overtravelled parking position, or angular axis not in zero pos. Otherwise it means that one of encoders is dead.

We have a DMU 125 with the millplus, I have had this error and successfully fixed it. Are you still stuck with the error?

How i check the faulty encoder or cable
Sir I explain in 2011.I have face this error h227. When I check control pannel found encoder cable lose.tied all connrcter and through n parameter n98
Select Endat 0 to 3
After that machine run manually then send to reference or homing position .machine reference and working
Now I check every think but could not found error or problem. How I trace or found and rectify.

Hi RenaAli,

I was away for the week end, we had this error after moving a machine and this error was the " H227" is tool changer magazine alarm, we had disconnected it.

On our machine , MC 5304 was 3, set to 0. Exit. Then parameter 98 will be 0 set to 3 take over position Y then MC 98 = 0.
Then change MC 5304 back to 3. I hope this helps you.

We checked MC 5304 and 98, but both of these parameters are already "0". Also we are unable to edit or change a parameter. Kindly guide us regarding how can we edit a parameter in the said system. Your response will be highly welcomed.

You must select EDIT input the code 1234 and emergency stop to edit these, have you done this?

Hi Mr. Chris,

Thanks a lot for your quick response. We have successfully edit the desired parameters and followed the steps instructed by you. After this H227 error has been removed but a new error message is displaying now "Z39+ Delta Master Slave max.". We are unable to resolve this issue and thankful to you if you can provide us some detail how can we rectify this new alarm.

We have finally rectified the problem by swapping drive of Z-axis with Y-axis. Thanks a lot for your very helpful response.
