Controlled chip breaking with intelligent tool holders


The additional motion of the VibroCut oscillate tool holders introduces predetermined breaking points into the chip during turning, enabling reliable and economical chip breakaging. This helps prevent machine downtime caused by chip accumulation and increases process reliability—clear advantages for overall productivity.


VibroCut oscillate systems can support all standard turning operations by superimposing an additional motion. Their exceptional performance and robustness ensure reliable chip formation, even under demanding cutting conditions.


Depending on the configuration, the movement is generated passively through the machine drive or actively via an integrated system. The adjustable amplitude allows for process-specific tuning to optimize chip breakage. The tool holders are available in various sizes and are compatible with standardized interfaces such as VDI and BMT, as well as custom connections. Thanks to their modular design, the systems can be integrated into new machines or retrofitted into existing setups.
