Walter is launching an innovative new technological solution with the TC620 Supreme thread milling cutter: With internal coolant, Walter DeVibe anti-vibration technology and a multi-row design. The internal coolant allows reliable chip removal even at high feeds per tooth. The multi-row design reduces cutting and deflection forces, while improving the dimensional stability. The combination with DeVibe, which efficiently suppresses vibration, allows users to employ higher cutting parameters. At the heart of the vibration-damping DeVibe technology is an anti-vibration land, which reduces the clearance angle on the flank face. This supports the tool and reduces vibration. DeVibe significantly improves the surface quality, especially with fine threads, regardless of clamping conditions, varying cutting values or the milling strategy.
The coating with Walter's own WB10TJ grade makes the TC620 Supreme suitable for universal application and optimises the process reliability through its performance. In all materials from ISO groups P, M, K, N and S up to 48 HRC, users also benefit from a low cost per thread and simplified handling: First, due to short machining times and long tool life; second, because radius corrections are seldom necessary. In addition to dimensions from M4 to M20, Walter now also offers the TC620 Supreme in metric fine and for UNF threads. DeVibe is optionally available from M8, MF8, UNC 5/16 and UNF 5/16. The cylindrical shank range is extended with the addition of new versions with Weldon shank. The TC620 Supreme with DeVibe is, for example, advantageous for users who want to machine expensive components under difficult conditions.
