About ADMATEC
Challenging the industry of the future with breakthrough solutions
Back in 2012 Formatec, an established Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM) company, was exploring new ways in shaping ceramics to add to their portfolio. Pioneering with 3D printing ceramics, a material -still- fairly unknown in AM but with great properties and regarded as a superior material, would open up a wide span of possibilities. In their effort, Formatec joined forces with Energy Center Netherlands (ECN), an experienced research institute, to start up a project with the aim to push the boundaries changing the traditional manufacturing industry and its associated limitations, through the formation of a new company: Admatec.
Developing a way to 3D print ceramics to improve efficiency, enable adding complexity and simplifying the production process, the project turned into a company in 2013: Admatec Europe. With successful results of job-shop activities and proof of concept for the patented Admaflex Technology, the Admaflex 130 was launched in 2016. A ceramics 3D printer, ready to be distributed globally for commercial use. As development is a recurring process, Admatec merged with a part of ECN (now TNO) and the company doubled in capacity. Metals were added to the portfolio and searching for methods to simplify complex ceramic and metal 3D printing in a customized way continued.
Today, we invest in research targeting the improvement of our material, but also continuously advancing the patented in-house developed Admaflex Technology to enable the delivery of critical benefits in high demanding industries. Ultimately to offer our customers the full solution for complex-shaped metals and ceramics in a flexible and reliable way, tailored to their needs.
