EMO Hannover 2025: Where mechanical engineering meets start-ups
EMO Hannover, the world’s leading trade fair for production technology, which takes place every two years, attracts companies from the machine tool industry from all over the world. It is regarded as the industry’s key event and sets the standards for metalworking.
Around 1500 exhibitors will be presenting at EMO Hannover 2025. Key topics include artificial intelligence, Digitization, Sustainability, additive Manufacturing and Cobots. In this context, start-ups also play a central role and are actively promoted by EMO Hannover. There will also be various formats for startups in 2025, including a startup networking evening – the Startup Night, a startup speed dating event and a startup matchmaking event where established companies in the industry meet startups.
Startup Matchmaking
As part of the startup matchmaking, we identify the startups relevant to you from around 100 exhibiting startups on site, give you an insight and, if necessary, organize 1-to-1 meetings with suitable startups. The matchmaking format enables you to get to know each other efficiently in the startup area at EMO Hannover and can be the first step towards a successful collaboration.

At Startup Speed Dating, you will get to know many innovative startups from the EMO startup sector personally in a short space of time. In 3-minute short talks, you will receive a compact overview of technologies, business models and cooperation potential – presented directly by the founders. The format is ideal for making inspiring contacts in a short space of time and engaging in targeted discussions.

Use the evening for open discussions, spontaneous ideas and making valuable contacts – ideal for continuing the exchange from the speed dating or for starting new conversations.
