"Mercury" is awarded to AMF Andreas Maier GmbH & CO. KG for services to the domestic economy

In its anniversary year, AMF receives the highest award of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). At an AMF anniversary event, the prize was ceremoniously presented by the Deputy Managing Director of the IHK Stuttgart region, Mr Steffen Kögel, to both Managing Directors Johannes Maier and Volker Göbel.
This IHK honorary sculpture of the Stuttgart artist Karl Ulrich Nuss represents Mercury, the patron saint of tradesmen. The IHK region of Stuttgart bestows this honorary award on companies that have distinguished themselves by their considerable efforts in promoting the regional economy and vocational training.
With this, the IHK honours both the entrepreneurial commitment for safeguarding the business location and the need for skilled workers, as well as the social benefit provided by the company locally.
Companies that receive this award in accordance with a decision by the President of the IHK general assembly, have had a marked influence on their local communities over many decades, sometimes even centuries of long history, are anchored there and have had a permanent leading position as employers from generation to generation.
With their commitment to vocational training they open up excellent prospects for many young people with good opportunities for professional and occupational development.
The companies honoured with the honorary sculpture invest substantially in the future of the Stuttgart region and thus make an outstanding social contribution.
With the award, the IHK expresses its thanks and appreciation to Andreas Maier GmbH & CO. KG for these achievements.
We are very proud of this award and will cherish it.
