Maschinenfabrik ARNOLD, located in Ravensburg, looks back on more than 100 years of company history. Today, with about 70 employees, we produce complex laser systems including the necessary automation components and fixture technology.

From about 1985 the first laser welding systems were developed at Arnold. While in the beginning the focus was on laser welding, today more and more complete solutions are in demand. This means that additional processes like heating, pressing and quality assurance systems have to be delivered additionally. Automatic material flow using robot technology, a wide range of conveyor technology and storage systems complete our scope of services.

An important mainstay is the LDRS (Laser domain refinement system) equipment, which was developed together with the Fraunhofer IWS Institute and has been supplied to the steel industry several times. In order to improve the efficiency of the transformers, the laser beam structures transformer sheets in a continuous process using high-speed scanners. Further laser applications, each with a wide variety of applications, have been added in recent years. Systems for buildup welding, laser deburring, laser polishing and glass cutting are developed and commissioned in-house according to customer requirements.

Our reference plants are located all over the world. Leading manufacturers in the automotive, steel and aircraft industries are among our main customers.
