The Fabryka „Wiertła Baildon” Joint Stock Company registered in 2007 on the grounds of Fabryka „Wiertła Baildon” Spółka z o. o., established in 1998 as a result of transformation of the Drill Department of the Baildon Steelworks, existing since 1908, is a manufacturer of high class drills made of high-speed molybdenum(IV), cobaltic steels as well as drills and shank cutters made of sintered carbide (monolithic) or with inserts of sintered carbide. 

 

Drills of our make are designated with a "BHH" symbol, which is the first trademark used by the Baildon Steelworks, established in 1823. The abbreviation comes after the name of the Steelworks founder John Baildon and its later owner Hegenscheidt. 

 

The symbol is strongly recognized among our customers both at home and abroad and guarantees high quality of the tools delivered.

 

 At present the Company makes about 50 types of drills in a range of over 16 000 typical gauges within the range of diameters between 0.25 and 100 mm and a wide range of dedicated drills. Furthermore, we launched manufacture of shank cutters made of sintered carbide (monolithic). 

 

 

 

The basic range of drills made by us includes: drills for steel and cast iron working, drills for work-resistant steels, stainless steel, heat-resisting steel, sheet metal, non-ferrous metals (copper, zinc, brass, aluminium), for masonry and concrete, glass, marble, amber, plastics, wood and special customized drills. 

In order to enhance the operating features the drills undergo upgrading such as: passivation and TIN, TiAlN coating. 

 

The Company also renders services in the field of sharpening, heat treatment, machining and manufacture of dedicated tools and fittings. 

 

The use of top class materials (steel, sinters and coatings), purchases from renown suppliers provides for manufacture of drills which are proven in the most rugged conditions. 

 

The Company has a quality management system in place, in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 confirmed by a TÜV certificate.
