The Blueprinter story began in 2008 where Frederik Tjellesen and Anders Hartmann, two mechanical engineers that previously had been using 3D printed parts in their work, got inspired to develop an easy to use 3D printer affordable even for very small businesses.
Very few companies can justify, or even afford, paying upwards of €150,000 for the capability of printing 3D prototypes. Frederik and Anders set out to make this technology widely accessible to manufacturers, architects, engineers and educational institutions everywhere.
The idea of using a low cost thermal print head instead of a traditional expensive laser was quickly proven to be a viable solution and the first printer was built in 2009.
We aim to keep expanding, spreading the revolutionary SHS® Technology and our vision of affordable 3D printing on a worldwide basis.
