Bosch Rexroth sets the bar at the inaugural Industry 4.0 Summit
Leading drives and controls specialist Bosch Rexroth demonstrated the opportunities Industry 4.0 can provide to visitors attending the Industry 4.0 Summit at the Manchester Central Convention Centre.
As the headline sponsor of the inaugural Industry 4.0 Summit, Bosch Rexroth played a key role at the show which aimed to support manufacturers digitise and upgrade operations.
Over the course of the two-day event, the drives and controls company showcased a number of proven Industry 4.0 technologies including a mini assembly line, which provided a live demonstration of Industry 4.0 in action; ActiveAssist, an intuitive guidance system; ActiveCockpit, interactive communications platform; IoT Gateway technology, IndraMotion MLC WebConnector, electric drives and frequency converters.
Senior representatives from Bosch Rexroth also gave presentations and took part in seminar discussions at the Summit, alongside other leading experts. The company reported overwhelming interest in both the presentations and stand displays.
Hans Michael Krause, Head of Sales – Processing and Packing, delivered a thought-provoking speech, titled ‘Turning ideas into reality: the real story behind one leading manufacturer’s journey to full automation’. Here attendees realised the importance of Industry 4.0 and how, as both a leading supplier and manufacturer, Bosch Rexroth can help companies understand the challenges inherent in preparing for Industry 4.0.
In addition to this Andrew Minturn, Business Development and Strategic Product Manager, discussed how Bosch Rexroth’s products and systems can be easily implemented to improve operations and performance.
