Rexroth is expanding its range of eTools

What do the configuration of a Linear Motion System and online shopping have in common? In the case of Bosch Rexroth, the answer is easy: Thanks to numerous intuitive eTools, selecting, dimensioning and ordering components and systems for Linear Motion Technology is just as easy and convenient as shopping online in general. Because while you used to have to trawl through parts catalogues and look up the right material numbers, the majority of this is now done by online configurators and engineering tools. In order that machine and system designers can also benefit from more efficient workflows in the future, Rexroth is constantly redeveloping its range of digital tools and ensures new functions and even better handling with its updates.

No matter if it's linear axes, actuators, linear guides or screw assemblies: with the eTool portfolio which has be constantly expanded over the years, virtually all of the Rexroth Linear Motion Technology components can be planned, designed and ordered effectively. This also applies So Rexroth has recently incorporated new configurators for runner blocks as well as for precision steel shafts of linear bushings, in its comprehensive tool environment.

And all the digital tools have one thing in common: they are based on Rexroth's years of extensive engineering knowledge and provide the user with a complete tool chain which ranges from the very first idea all the way to delivery and basically makes dimensioning and product searching much easier and faster. Rexroth also makes the CAD data of the completed configurations available immediately for various 3D and 2D systems. The complete digital engineering system not only ensures shorter time-to-market, it also helps to consistently avoid dimensioning errors.

While continually improving its engineering tools, Rexroth regularly updates its software to make it more efficient and convenient.

So the latest version of LinSelect, the selection and sizing tool for linear axes and actuators first introduced in 2016 offers a much larger range of functions and more convenient handling. As well as six new language versions, the selection and calculation algorithms were optimized using valuable customer feedback as a basis. Furthermore, LinSelect also provides access to all new products and configuration variations and was improved again in terms of menu functions and display options.

As part of these updates, the layout of the tools has been gradually designed to have a uniform look and feel providing the user with simple operation in accordance with the latest standards.
