World Premiere: DMV 200: Precise vertical milling up to 2,000 mm in length

Munich. With the new DMV 200, DMG MORI is expanding its series for productive and high-precision 3-axis vertical machining. Its stable design, a rigid table with a loading weight of 3,000 kg and travels of 2,000 x 700 x 550 mm are primarily aimed at customers who also need to mill or drill large components quickly and precisely. Like its smaller sister models, the DMV 200 is also geared towards the requirements of modern production in demanding industries such as Die & Mold, Mobility or Aviation & Space. A tool magazine with up to 120 pockets (SK40) - the standard version has 30 - and compatibility with pallet handling systems such as the PH Cell 300 guarantee cost-effective production with short non-productive times.
Robust design for maximum dynamics
The DMV 200 is based on a monolithic machine frame with solid cast parts and roller guideways in all axes. This means the machine remains stable and precise even in case of very demanding applications. The feed rate of 42 m/min secures high dynamic and reduced cycle times. The available spindles ensure high performance machining: starting from inlineMASTER 15,000 rpm, through speedMASTER 15.000 rpm HT (high torque) & 20.000 rpm, ending at powerMASTER which has a torque of 430 Nm for heavy-duty machining of titanium alloys or stainless steel- all with BIG PLUS interface and 36 months warranty. Thanks to direct drives in all axes, direct path measuring systems and a positioning accuracy of 4 µm, the DMV 200 delivers consistently precise results. An active cooling system for selected components ensures thermal stability even with long running times.
Machining Transformation (MX): Networked, automated and future-proof
DMG MORI has developed the DMV 200 with the pillars of Machining Transformation (MX) in mind to support any future-proof production. CELOS X on the intuitively operated, 24" ERGOline X panel creates the perfect basis for networked and digitalized production. It allows seamless integration into company networks, which further advances the Digital Transformation. Programming with graphical display is supported by either a Siemens SINUMERIK ONE or a HEIDENHAIN TNC 7. DMG MORI implements autonomous production by connecting the PH 150, PH Cell 300 pallet handling system or - in combination with another machining center - the PH Cell Twin. Workpiece handling is performed by a Robo2Go Milling if required. The DMV 200 can also be easily integrated into a shop floor with driverless transport systems such as the PH-AMR 750. Thanks to its energy-saving and resource-conserving operation, the DMV 200 also promotes the Green Transformation (GX) towards more sustainable production.
