In 1949, Fritz Brumme founded his company in Frankfurt am Main. Just one year later, he succeeded in developing a new material for diaphragms that increased the operating performance of fuel pumps in automobiles by a factor of almost five, thanks to its high resistance to mechanical wear and tear. Most European motor vehicles were soon fitted with EFFBE diaphragms.
With the development of new materials suited to different industrial requirements, EFFBE managed to extend its presence into new fields and ranges of application. Thus, today EFFBE supplies diaphragms, elastomer moulded parts and vibration engineering to companies in a wide range of industries aside from the automobile and motor vehicle supply industries.
