Internationalisation in Progress

The first effects of this cooperation became apparent, when the members of both portals met on www.cnc-arenac.com/en . Since then, the networks of both portals meet for a lively exchange of experiences in more than 500 forums. Apart from the mutual issues that join both networks, there are also the differences that create a lot of interest in various areas. This became particularly apparent, for example, with the current survey about the subject of “3-D Printing” that the editors of CNC-Arena started on both portals. It was clear quite soon that the members of CNC-Arena could fall back on a much broader experience held by CNCZone members and thus both sides benefit very effectively.

The integration of the forums is now followed by involving the B2B-modules on CNCzone.com. In a first step, the marketplace for used machinery, CNC.de, was embedded in August, to facilitate participating machine traders access to potential customers worldwide.

This is followed by publishing CNC-Arena's eMagazine in an English version, and thus supports the export-orientated customers of both portals as well as supplying interested readers with further relevant contents. The publication of the first international edition was deliberately chosen: the English version coincides with the German issue and is published on the 9th September online. Both issues can be obtained as a special print at the EMO in Hanover, Germany, free of charge.

Further steps to integrate the well-established B2B-modules of CNC-Arena as well as its forums on CNCzone.com are being prepared.
