EMUGE Enorm-Z Taps made of HSSE-PM for long-chipping material

The new Z-Taps are available in two coating versions. In a first step they are designed for metric threads M4 to M10 according DIN 13 and M12 according DIN 376. The TIN-60 coated version is the specialist for steel materials and shows its strengths especially at steel materials with a tensile strength between 600 and 1,000 N/mm². A key role for the outstanding performance in these materials plays the new TIN-coating with increased hardness, less friction and better wear resistance. For materials such as stainless steel materials, cast aluminium and copper alloys the GLT-1 coated version is the perfect choice, it can be used as well in steel materials.

Both TIN- and GLT-1 coated versions have in common HSSE-PM material and specific geometric parameters. These are such as longer flutes for better chip evacuation, back taper for preventing chip jams and increased tolerance for use in abrasive and clamping materials. For optimal performance the combination with EMUGE Softsynchro® collet holders is recommended.
