30 TON CAPACITY COIL TRANSFER CART WITH V TABLE
Customer Need:
The customer needed a safe and efficient solution for transporting coils both inside and outside the factory. They were previously transporting them using trucks between long hallways, which resulted in cost losses. Additionally, eliminating occupational safety risks caused by manual handling between cranes was a key priority.
Project Challenges:
The challenges encountered in this project were as follows:
- Harsh Factory Conditions: In sheet metal manufacturing plants, the vehicle needed to work smoothly under challenging conditions, including uneven floors, narrow spaces, and heavy operational activities. Maneuverability and durability were critical design factors for the vehicle.
- Occupational Safety: Reducing the risks of accidents during manual handling was a major priority. The goal was to ensure that employees did not have to be directly involved in the transport process, thereby ensuring safer handling methods.
- Time Efficiency: Time is a critical factor in sheet metal production facilities. Fast and efficient transportation solutions were needed to avoid disruptions in the production line and to accelerate operational processes.
Our Solution:
To meet these requirements, we developed a 30-ton capacity transfer trolley with a fully electric, remote-controlled, and autonomous infrastructure:
- Fully Electric and Remote-Controlled System: Eliminates the need for manual handling, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
- Custom V-Shaped Table Design: Keeps coils securely and stably in place during transportation. Additionally, the table can be easily removed and replaced, allowing the vehicle to carry flat sheet metal when needed. This way, one transfer vehicle can manage two different operations.
- Autonomous Infrastructure Integration: We designed the transfer cart with an autonomous infrastructure to meet the customer’s potential need for an intelligent factory setup. This makes future integration for autonomous needs easy.
- High Durability: The cart is designed to withstand harsh factory conditions. Maneuverability was enhanced to accommodate uneven floors and narrow spaces.
Our transfer cart solution not only eliminated safety risks but also ensured faster and more efficient transportation of coils both inside and outside the factory.
