Its working with stock drives.

Ran Z axis with a function generator for step and a jumper to switch directions.
Worked off of the axis drive board DC power cap.

I will run it with Linuxcnc Stepgen from the old PC parallel port.
It is way cool to not have to buy $400+ for drives.
Tested parallel port data output/input with PDMX-112.
The PDMX-112 is a great tool for parallel port testing and simulation.
Mill axis drive need low (0V) going to step and high (+5V) going to change direction.
