German MetalBro big Is A Super Fast Big 3D Printer

“Size doesn’t matter? We think it does.”  – with this slogan F&B rapid production UG is currently introducing their 3D printer, MetalBro big on the crowdfunding website Indiegogo. This printers limits in terms of build volume and speed are far beyond others on the market. With it’s 700x300x700 mm printing area it is able to print more than a meter in the diagonal.

But these are not the only key features of this printer. With the special designd extremely powerful hot-end a printing speed of up to 500mm/s is possible without any problems. Typical problems like “jamming” have according to F&B rapid production never happened. This is a key factor when it comes to printing big objects. The new MetalBro BIG is built of all metal parts, so it’s very stable and almost maintenance-free.

The requests to print bigger objects in real size, like shelves and tables, but also architectural models have recently increased to a point where someone had to take the first step. The entrepeneur and co-founder Christopher Felix sums it up as follows:

“Our goal was to develop a printer which has no boundaries in terms of size, speed and usability. It is not only for companies but also for consumers financially attractive. The speed and a stable printig process are very important with this build volume.”

With the support of this crowdfunding the company is planning to expand their stuff and production capacities. The MetalBro big is an enhancement for the 3D printing market.
