FERG produces a wide range of hand tap sets:
101 - Steels with good machinability Rm<750 N/mm^2.
107/108 - Heat treated and heat resistant steels Rm<1000 N/mm^2.
V107/V108 - Stainless steels and structural steels Rm<1000 N/mm^2.
A647/A648 - High alloyed steels Rm = 1000 -1300 N/mm^2.
Tap sets can be of 3 or 2 pieces depending on the type of thread.
Threads can and should be tapped continuously, i.e. without stopping and backing off the tap to break the chip.
