FICEP S.p.A has been an established manufacturer of diverse systems for the forging industry since 1930.
Our main types of forging machines are high efficiency screw presses, high speed hydraulic presses with many different variants in force, energy, stroke and accessories, and mechanical presses, that assure high productivity and precision.
Mechanical presses of MF series have been recently added to FICEP’s direct drive (DD) and hydraulic (HF)forging presses, and are available both with single (MF-S) and double connecting rod (MF-D). This expansion of the line of forging presses is in addition to FICEP’s complete line of shearing lines (cold, warm and hot) and circular sawing systems.
The MF3150 structure consists of 4 main parts (base, shoulders, head and columns) that together with the rest of the components bring the total mass of the eccentric press to 270 tons.
Each part is a welded assembly of steel plates and is hot treated to eliminate the residual stress and achieve the best possible sturdiness.
The nominal force of model MF 3150 is of 31500 kN (hence the name), the stroke is of 350 mm: a quite large value that could "put in crisis" the crank gear of any other model on the market.
This does not happen with the MF series, in fact it allows to reach 60-75 blows per minute, bringing the MF 3150 at full title in the category of the fast machines.
In conclusion, the MF 3150 can reach up to 60-75 blows per minute and can be included at full title in the category of the fast machines.
The new range of mechanical presses MF series completes and implements FICEP’s offer for strategic sectors such as automobiles automotive and industrial motor vehicles, energy (flanges), the production of gears and the medical sector.
