Which one did you get. Does it do mill and lathe functions.
Looking at them online it seems to me that you can get them for either a lathe or mill but not both.
Please tell me I'm wrong.

Beevo, does the basic software have that Wizard? If so that would be great.
I bought the 3in1 used from someone trying to convert it to cnc. He did a bit of damage to the ways and then gave up and sold it to me.
Bought and installed Acme screws and made Acetal nuts. they...
Marty, I'm a hobby machinist and I just got all the steppers mounted on my 3 in 1 machine and I'm ready to build the control panel.
The free software I don't think will work G-code wise and 4mb on...
I was seriously considering the Acorn controller But then I saw that I would have to buy the ultimate software for lathe and mill at $ 499.00 each , that's to much for a hobby.
I'll have to look...
No dickeybird , I'm not a linux fan. I just got the 2 paid versions of the software mixed up.
I'm not an experienced user of a cnc machine but I thought that 4 MB for g-code might not be much. Thats...
Are you guys using the free software? it seems to be useless. The pro version $ 499.00 ?
Go to MadModder, they have 27 pages about this controller.
If they made it usable for a mill and lathe more would be interested. Having to install different software to use it on a lathe is not something people are interested in.

You have no sense of humor.
It's like gas mileage claims, all bull.
So you spend another $ 600.00 or so to have a controller for your lathe. Now you are at around $ 1300.00 plus shipping and before you know you are at $ 1500.00.
Unfortunately none of the units mentioned here have a Lathe Mode, so how will you do thread cutting with any of them. They seem to be useful for milling machines and routers only.
I would be more...
Make sure that you can do threading with this controller. Many stand alone controllers don't. In that case what good is it?
Looks great.
Is there any progress on this project?
Thanks wtopace for confirming my suspicion.
I tried installing PP on pc with windows 7. First I made an unallocated partition to install pp on,
but to me it seems PP wants to install on the whole HD. So I aborted installation.
Am I wrong...
Have you tried Googling Machinekit, I don't think so.
If you do you will find a lot of information on the subject.
What is the Arduino for if you got Pathpilot?
I don't think the Gecko 201x has polarity protection.
If you want excellent Stepper Drivers look at Banggood for JK 1545 or JKD 2060 AC. The greatest, smoothest and quietest drivers I have come across.
They are as good as Geckos if not better for less...
Why don't you read about all the complaints about HAAS machines on this forum. If that doesn't scare you then you deserve what you are getting.
ahsameh: Is there more info, I would like to build my own servodrivers.
If you have to make a lot of these holes then you should look at a gundrill setup.
Ray Behner on the Practical machinist Forum had a posting about a gundrilling setup he made himself.
Many...
The higher the RPM of the stepper the less power you get from them.
Bigger steppers might do it but you need the right drivers for them.
Gecko claims their drivers work for any stepper.
You need a business account and clearance from homeland security.
The motors you show are open to chips getting in. Have you built a covering for them and do they not overheat with a cover.
Stutank, Bubba,
I finally got it.
Thank you for your patience, all I need to do now is to figure out a project to use Ezilathe.
Stutank,
What is the Working Directory? All the files are extracted to C:\Ezilathe right now.
