Do you mean rotating chuck with M3 or M4? Usually on machines i'm worked with, I use M3, but on roughing, if possible(right tools) I use rather M4 because it's better way for machine life.

Have anyone experience with coolant leak from turrets center part, which should "direct" coolant to one tool?

Now it leaks so that when coolant is on, coolant is coming out of all tools around...

Parts which we run now are ball valve's balls with shaft, made of stainless castings. Ball diameter is 25in with 16in hole and with shaft the lenght is 50in.

I think that after 40kg/cm2 headstock bearings start to suffer. Daewoo says that 40kg/cm2 is lathes maximum allowable pressure for tailstock, so headstock...

Its lathe's original live center, Daewoo puma 700lm. Maximum pressure for tailstock is about 40kg/cm2. Now i'm used 20kg/cm2 for 500kg workpiece, which gives about 1500kg thrust for tailstock pinol.

If I turn heavy shaft between centers, for example 500kg, what is suitable pressure for tailstock pinol to press workpiece? 250kg, 500kg, 1000kg or what??

If i need to program bolt circle, i use pocket calculator. It's much more fun and gives work for my second braincell. It's not even hard to calculate, when you learn it.

Sometimes a good way getting vibration marks off the part is using low rpm and much higher feed.

There's now 20m memory. I remember that he said that he know how to double up memory size by chancing one bit. So propably there's 40m memory installed on board.

I tried to turn on macros on OT-C (1995) chancing only parameter 902 bit 6 to 1, but it did not worked.

So, do I have to turn on also parameters 912 / 913 to 10000000 to get properly working...

I heard once that chancing one bit on parameters gives more memory to fanuc control. Does anyone know more about that option?
