What I meant is ... are you running program off your computer? Or are you uploading the program to put into controls memory and then you get the error?

What model is the Hitachi Lathe?
There are two ports on the motherboard. When 6003 is set to 17 port 1 is active. When 6003 is set to 34 port 2 is active. Only one port is hardwired from the connector on the motherboard.

Check the total value of prm 6026~6029... they should be set all the same....parameter first.. thats quick and easy

Is this a 2000G controller? Does it have a 6 inch crt or just the one line display?
Adjust prm 6304. Make sure after you change the value that you power off/on. Control reads new value on bootup
