EFR Electrostatic Oil Cleaner
Electrostatic oil cleaning system for the cleaning, care and maintenance of hydraulic oils, transformer oils, turbine oils, lubricating oils and other electrically non-conductive liquids.

Electrostatic oil cleaning removes particles well below 0.1 µm from the oil. This can increase the service life of the oil many times over. At the same time, machine precision is improved and hydraulic faults are significantly reduced.

An electric field is generated in the oil cleaning system with a high voltage of approx. 14 kV. The dirt particles, which get into the electric field with the oil, are attracted and separated. This innovative operating principle not only removes hard impurities such as metal particles, seal abrasion, chips, etc., but also oxidation products, resin deposits, varnishes and sticky sludge particles from the oil. The oil cleaning system is connected to the system in a bypass flow and cleans the oil during production without stopping production.

The service life of the hydraulic oil can be increased to over 100,000 operating hours through the consistent use of electrostatic oil cleaning.

Oil Skimmer type 1U
The oil skimmer model 1U is specially designed to remove floating oil from small coolant tanks and small degreasing baths with a surface of up to 1 m². The innovative working principle makes sure that oil is collected on the entire surface of the basin.

The oil skimmer model S 100 has been specially developed for the removal of floating oils from very large basins and containers with large fluctuations in filling levels.

This special design allows delivery heights of up to 20 m to be achieved and bath level fluctuations of up to 2 m to be compensated.

Since the oil collector tube can be guided on the bath surface, the oil can be removed from tanks and containers of various sizes and shapes.

The innovative operating principle removes the oil from the entire pool surface. The oil collector tube generates a rotary movement on the bath Surface which causes the floating oil to move, causing it to be captured by the oil colector tube and transported into the oil skimmer. There the oil is stripped off and passed on to a waste oil collection tank.

Due to its robust construction, the Model S 100 oil skimmer can be used in continuous operation without any problems. In order to prevent premature wear caused by solids such as sand, chips and particles in the oil, all wear-prone parts of the oil skimmer are made of highly abrasion-resistant ceramic. This significantly minimizes the maintenance effort. The oil skimmer itself is made of stainless steel.

Depending on the oil viscosity and the oil layer thickness, a delivery rate of up to 300 l oil/h can be achieved. The oil skimmer model S 100 can be optimally adapted to the respective operating conditions by an extensive accessory program.

Skimmtelligent Decanter
The FRIESS Skimmtelligent oil separator is used wherever oil is mixed in with the process fluid and does not float.

The process fluid is pumped into the Skimmtelligent via a diaphragm pump in bypass flow. In the first preliminary stage, the coarse dirt that is also pumped settles. In the following coalescence separator, the oil collects until it develops sufficient buoyancy to float on the liquid surface. Here it is conveyed with a FRIESS oil skimmer into a collection tank. The deoiled liquid flows back into the working tank via a discharge chamber.

Magnetic Filter SMF
The self-cleaning Friess magnetic filter SMF removes iron, steel and stainless steel particles from process liquids of all kinds and is designed for a flow rate of up to 300 l/min. The self-cleaning magnetic filter type SMF removes ferritic dirt particles down to less than 1 µm. Particularly during grinding, honing and lapping, these particles can get between the tool and the workpiece and thus impair surface quality and removal performance. In addition, strong contamination of the cooling lubricant promotes the formation of bacteria.

The self-cleaning Friess magnetic filter type SMF is equipped with three or five concentrically arranged magnetic filter rods. Due to the highly efficient neodymium magnets with extremely high field strength, the ferritic particles contained in the liquid are pulled onto the magnetic filter rods and held there. Due to the special flow guidance, the magnetic filter rods are flushed very slowly and evenly, so that the particles can simply adhere to the surface of the magnetic filter rods. Even if the magnetic filter rods are completely covered with dirt particles, the full flow is maintained. When the maximum capacity is reached, the magnetic filter is briefly rinsed. The inlet and outlet are closed for backwashing. The magnetic rods are then pulled out of the stainless steel cladding tubes with the aid of a pneumatic cylinder. The ferritic particles collected on the outside of the cladding tubes are flushed out of the filter through the bottom outlet valve with a little liquid. Any remaining dirt can then be flushed out by briefly opening the flushing valve. After a few seconds the filtration process can be continued.

Since no consumables are used and only minimal auxiliary energy is required for the backwashing process, there are virtually no operating costs.

The magnetic filters remove ferritic particles down to less than 1 µm. In addition, strong contamination of the cooling lubricant promotes the formation of bacteria.

The FRIESS magnetic filters are equipped with 1, 3 or 6 concentrically arranged magnetic filter rods. Due to the use of highly efficient neodymium magnets with extremely high field strength, the particles contained in the liquid are pulled onto the magnetic filter rods and held there. Due to the special flow guidance, the magnetic filter rods are flushed very slowly and evenly, so that even the smallest particles are attracted to the surface of the magnetic filter rods. Even if the magnetic filter rods are completely covered with dirt particles, the full flow is maintained.

Since no consumables are used and no additional energy is required to operate the magnetic filter, there are no operating costs. The magnetic filter is cleaned by simply wiping off the collected dirt. The removed dirt particles can be sorted and recycled without filter aids.
