GrindingHub 2022 passes further milestone

grindinghub news Image

GrindingHub, the new leading trade fair for grinding technology in Stuttgart, has passed a further milestone. “Barely two months after the registration documents were sent out, numerous market leaders have already signed up for GrindingHub. This means that Stuttgart is already set to become the heart of the grinding technology sector,” said a delighted Dr Wilfried Schäfer, Executive Director of the organiser VDW (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association), Frankfurt am Main. He went on: ” In addition to the machine manufacturers who had already agreed to participate during the first information round at the beginning of March, many renowned companies along the entire process chain have now joined. This strengthens the appeal of the new fair and also encourages other suppliers to get on board, according to Schäfer.

The GrindingHub is set to premiere from 17 to 20 May 2022 and the current exhibitor list already includes over 100 companies. “Many exhibitors want to participate with representative stands. Therefore, with the existing demand, we could already fill two of the four reserved halls at the Stuttgart trade fair center,” adds Gunnar Mey, Head of the Industry Department at Messe Stuttgart.

In the past few weeks the GrindingHub organisers have also presented the trade fair concept to numerous other companies at well-attended round table events (four national and two international). “Attracting almost 118 companies and nearly 180 participants, there was great interest, and we were able to get more to sign up spontaneously,” reported Martin Göbel, Director Fairs with in VDW. The offer of a ‘Corona comprehensive insurance’ certainly also has a motivating effect. VDW and Messe Stuttgart guarantee exhibitors a cancellation free of charge until September 30 of this year, continues Göbel.

The aim of the organisers is to showcase the entire grinding technology value chain in Stuttgart – including everything from software, machines and tools through to abrasives, process peripherals as well as measuring and testing systems. “The registration list as it stands already covers all grinding and superfinishing processes on the machine and tool side,” said Schäfer, summing up.
