The extremely compact design means the device is an optimum choice for applications where space is at a premium. Moreover, the O8 reliably copes with constantly changing backgrounds, e.g. on robot arms. In addition, the new development is available with 3-pin and 4-pin M8 connectors.

Via IO-Link the range can be conveniently set to the nearest millimetre for a multitude of applications. A complex adjustment of the distance from the sensor to the object is no longer needed.
