ifm Industry 4.0 solutions for Condition Based Maintenance at FCA Verrone plant

The Verrone plant produces manual and automatic transmissions (gears) for all FCA Group's medium-sized cars. The implementation of condition-based maintenance (CBM), achieved thanks to ifm's support and according to the principles of World Class Manufacturing, allows to avoid unpredicted failures and /or loss of quality, exploiting the entire components' useful life. By maintaining the same machine reliability, this approach allows the FCA plant in Verrone to reduce the cost of preventive maintenance.
