The product range of lubrication-free drylin® linear guides is based on the principle of "gliding instead of rolling". In combination with corrosion-free materials, tribo-optimised iglidur® high performance polymers are used as a sliding surface. drylin® linear guides traverse in dry operation and are thereby maintenance-free and are insensitive to influences such as dirt, water, chemicals, heat or impacts. In addition, they have a very low noise because of the materials used and the special design. With these properties, drylin® linear guides can be used in a wide variety of environments, including extreme ones. The modular system allows for high flexibility with different rail guides and pillow blocks.

The new double profile of the drylin® W guide with 25 mm shaft Ø can withstand high loads up to about 2 tons. Advantage of this system is - as with the other 4 sizes - the simple installation. An intricate alignment of two parallel guides is eliminated. The rails are available up to a length of 4 m apiece.

The drylin® W carriages for individual guides were developed for curved rails made from the drylin® W linear system. Due to the spherical bearings, the carriages automatically adapts themself to different radii of the rail (with a min. bend radius of 250 mm) and straight running. Self-adjusting and lubrication-free, with manual clamp as an option.

In a comprehensive modular system, the drylin® W profile guides offer the largest product diversity within the drylin® family. The series of linear profile guides combines the modular advantages of other drylin® type series, which allows very easy assembly while maximising installation space utilisation. Over 25 different rail designs ensure maximum design freedom.

The use of the drylin® hybrid roller bearings is possible for very low driving forces, with single or double rollers used in the bearings. They sit captive on the rail – transverse and abuse forces are easily absorbed by sliding elements.

Small, lightweight and lubricant-free
igus® extends the range of spindle-driven linear axes with various pitches by another size, thereby aiming at a small and compact solution. The axis base forms the proven drylin® N system of installation size 27. The rail is made of anodized aluminum and gives the axis a width of only 28 mm. It can be combined with a NEMA 11 step motor. The completely lubrication-free operation is implemented by plastic plain bearings in the spindle bearings as well as in the guide carriage.

of applications often involve manually actuated pivoting units (doors, furniture in the medical sector, etc.). The material reduces the level of bacterial contamination but – like all "anti-bacterial" materials – is not a substitute for adequate hygienic measures.

The application of spherical bearings is as a rule linked with high bearing weights, difficult installation and high costs. Most need maintenance on a long term, and the bearings are corrosion-resistant only in special versions. Often the roller or plain bearings are excessively stressed by edge load and prematurely give out, or the bearing must be extensively readjusted, counterbored or converted in order to compensate for misalignments.

The simple handling enables a manifold application of igubal® spherical bearings. You can use them wherever the self-aligning bearings offer constructive advantages or assist in simplifying the installation.

Maintenance-free igubal® spherical bearings have a tolerance in the inner diameter, according to E10. The shaft should have a tolerance between h6 and h9. The bearing clearance compensates for bearing expansions during heating.

igubal® spherical bearings are press-fitted in an H7 bore and axially locked. A precise alignment of the bearing housing is not required as the spherical bearing automatically compensates for error.

iglidur® PRT is a slewing ring bearing with the proven advantages of the igus® polymer bearings. The sliding elements made of iglidur® J operate absolutely maintenance and lubrication free. The mating rings of the slewing bearing are made of aluminium or stainless steel; the mating surfaces of iglidur® J sliding elements are hard-anodised. For all 6 sizes of the design 01, 4 standards are available for the toothing of the outer ring: A classic spur gear toothing based on DIN3967 for combination with plastic gear or rack, and three commercially available toothed belt profiles: T10, AT10 and HTD8M. In the case of the externally toothed PRT, the inner ring is fixed and the outer ring driven. At the same time the specially widened outer ring carries the gear to be moved.

EasyChain®
EasyChains® are available in two versions. In the "E" version the cable is simply laid from the outside, and in the "Z" version from the inside. The shortened installation time is one of the main features of the easy chain® chains. Their elastic and rugged material igumid NB offers even more reasons for application: Optimum elasticity, UL94-V2 Classification and excellent suitability for clean rooms. Their one-piece design makes EasyChain® especially attractive in price. Due to the lower rigidity of the material, the EasyChain® is not suitable for applications with very high load.
