ISBE - Solutions for Cutting Tools
ISBE GmbH - Itterheim Softwaretechnik, Beratung and Entwicklung - has specialized in the software-based design, simulation and optimization of cutting tools such as drills, milling cutters, reamers or countersinks. Well-known tool manufacturers as well as customers from medical technology, automobile and aviation industries belong to clientele of ISBE GmbH, which was founded in 1997 by Dr. Claus Itterheim in Stuttgart.

ISBE GmbH offers sophisticated and easily manageable software solutions for tool manufacturers and tool users along the entire process chain DISTRIBUTION / CAD / CAM / PRODUCTION. Our consistently digital tool solutions optimize the entire process from the project planning, distribution over the construction of optimal standard and special tools up to their production. You benefit from shortened delivery times and avoid unproductive iteration loops.

Via standard data interfaces such as DIN4000, DIN 4003, DIN 69874 (BMG), ISO 13399, STEP AP 203/AP 214 as well as automated drafting with TD Sketcher Suite, tool data are immediately available as catalogue data for your marketing and product management. Via the same interfaces, you deliver added value to your customers while providing them with special tools directly in digital form without any delay and any additional effort.

Complete your CAD systems with software solutions from our Virtual Tool Design portfolio. Design your cutting tools with Tool Designer Suite for manufacturability and provide 3D STEP models for the FEM-based optimization. In this regard, we also focus on seamless digital data integration. The production-ready design created by TD Suite also provides useful data for all tool grinding machines and measuring machines. The product TD ReCAD rounds off your reverse engineering process.

In addition to our software products, we offer comprehensive consulting services and training with reference to a consistent data and information structure for highly efficient workflows in tool grinding. All software solutions are developed in strict accordance with the building-block principle. Therefore, customized extensions or new developments can be implemented in short development times. A benefit that you can profit from is our comprehensive know-how in the field of tool and machining technology.

In order to meet your needs optimally, we opened ISBE Tool Engineering Center in October 2011. As a competence center, a team of experts assists and advises you in all questions concerning the modeling of cutting tools and process simulation. Besides, ISBE Tool Engineering Center also offers services in the optimization of NC programs, the process optimization for the tool development as well as the implementation of simulation calculation.

In the field of research and development e.g. difficult to machine materials, ISBE GmbH works closely with universities and research institutes.
