The Timing Belt is fed back through the robust guide profile, which also encompasses and protects the guide elements. As a result, the entire guide axis is compact and sealed. Thanks to the use of item profile grooves, the guide profile can be easily integrated into constructions, making it easier than ever to create a high-quality linear unit. Low-vibration linear movements with an exceptional positioning accuracy The carefully coordinated components can achieve a stroke velocity of up to 10 m/s. Due to its high rigidity and precise timing-belt drive, the linear unit produces low-vibration linear movements with a repeat accuracy of ± 0.1 mm and exceptional positioning accuracy.

Linear Unit KRF – maximum load-to-size ratio As a turnkey solution, Linear Unit KRF with its criss-crossed roller guide offers a high load-carrying capacity in a space-saving solution. Four high-strength steel tracks are installed directly into the profile contour of the support profile, which is just 40 mm wide, and serve as guides. The steel tracks are particular wear-resistant and create a rigid connection without edges, even over long stroke lengths. The sliding carriage, which is milled from a single block of high-strength aluminium , uses eight strong rollers aligned in a criss-cross pattern. This alignment means that instead of being installed at a 90° angle to the slide surface, the rollers are at a 45° or 135° angle. As a result, they run on the top and underside of the recess in the support profile.

The slide in a linear unit runs along Shafts that are anchored in the grooves of these profiles using Shaft-Clamp Profiles. As a result, the frame of a machine can also be used as a linear guide. Shaft-Clamp Profiles are available in various designs to match the diameter of the Shafts, thus ensuring that even high loads can be carried safely. A Shaft-Clamp Profile with a Line 5 groove is available for particularly compact linear units. Multiple Shafts can be installed end-to-end to form one long guiding shaft of virtually any length. To install Shaft-Clamp Profiles, simply insert them into a groove on an aluminium profile and screw them into place. Then press in the guiding shaft and it will stay in place with no need for any further machining. The Slide Strips serve as slide elements when transporting goods or workpiece carriers, for example. They can be fitted into the profile grooves, are hard-wearing and have a low coefficient of sliding friction. The Slide Strips have a permissible load of 2 N/mm2. The antistatic feature of the Slide Strips prevents electrostatic charging of transported goods due to friction. They can also be used as rebate strips and guide rails or can be employed as a support base, e.g. in shelves to protect sensitive products.
