With this claim MAP Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH developed the new MPZ series.
The result is a highly productive 5-axis vertical machining centre which, through the combination of a powerful tool spindle with the possibility of 5-sided complete machining, can implement almost any manufacturing task economically.
POWERFUL TOOL SPINDLE
The highlight of the MPZ series is the powerful tool spindle with a drive power of 71 kW (40% ED), a maximum torque of 272 Nm (40% ED) and a speed of 14,000 min-1.
The user can choose between SK or HSK tapers.

The basis for effective and precise multi-side machining is the highly stable, FEM-optimized cast bed in portal design. The compact design with the rotary/swivel table mounted on one side offers great machining freedom with optimum accessibility.
ROTATION/SWIVEL TABLE
The dynamic and highly accurate rotary/swivel unit is equipped with a 580 mm face plate and is driven by powerful torque motors with encoders for direct measurement. Workpieces including clamping device with a weight of up to 500 kg can be machined quickly and precisely within a interference circle of max. 600 mm.
