The Montronix PS200-NG (DGM) power sensor measures the active electrical power consumed by spindle and axis drives with the highest resolution. The power signal provided is ideally suited for process monitoring in conjunction with a Montronix SpectraNG/Spectra One series tool monitoring system.
The PS200-NG (DGM) can be used on DC motors as well as on 1- or 3-phase AC motors. The PS200-NG (DGM) uses the current and voltage to determine the active power consumed by the motor and uses this to generate an analog output signal. Various amplification and filter settings are available for optimal adaptation of the output signal to the respective drive and process. These can be set separately for each tool in conjunction with a Montronix tool monitoring system.
The PS200-NG (DGM) is therefore a robust and control-independent solution for monitoring tool breakage, tool wear and tool missing.
