Nine9 Spot Drill is more than just a spotting drill, but a multiple functional tool. Inserts of NC Spot Drill are interchangeable and covers various angles from 60° to 145° for different purpose applications, such as spotting, chamfering, grooving, engraving, and corner rounding, etc. Various insert grading on the same holder can machine any materials. It is economical and save your tooling cost.
Why spotting? Spotting produces a shallow hole to get better hole position enabling to produce more accurate final product. Ideally, the proper spotting angle should have larger point angle than that of your drill, so the center of a drill shall be the first point to contact workpiece to avoid the drill walked or moved in starting drilling.
